HISTORIC PROVENANCE
The Bowl Saqqara echoes the elegance of an early Dynastic-period Egyptian dish around 2750–2649 BCE. Unearthed from the Saqqara tombs in Egypt, the original travertine piece exemplifies the ancient artistry preserved by The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
